Case Study 9 - 2010

The history

The client is implementing a SAP system across its European offices and had finished the first part of the rollout to their partners in one aspect of the business. They were starting on the second element of the implementation primarily to staff initially in two countries, but also affecting customers. This would change the way they worked and could result in redundancies.

The requirement

The required a comprehensive communications strategy and plans which would cover the 18 months of the implementation and could be then used in the further roll out to other European countries.

The solution

  • To carry out a stakeholder engagement piece covering both internal and external stakeholders.
  • To carry out a communications audit to understand what were the preferred communications channels.
  • To put together a communications strategy which would sit at programme level and allow the countries to customise their plans, localise and translate.
  • Create a communications plan at programme level which would ensure that the programme communicated appropriately at each stage of the programme.
